Feeding the Ignorant Poison

Members of my family will go to an early grave partially because of a poor diet that they define as rich. It is just as simple as that. No seduction. No placation. Just these hard facts… So the BBC comes out with an article entitled “GM ‘golden rice’ boosts vitamin A”—today. Today! The positive implications in this BBC headline are still quite disingenuous based on the article “THE ‘GOLDEN RICE’ HOAX: When Public Relations replaces Science” by Dr. Vandana Shiva. So the BBC puppet masters slip their world view into public consciousness while people like Vandana Shiva threaten to go unnoticed—and eventually this “common knowledge” and “common sense” will trick my peoples into killing themselves for corporate profits with smug confidence and patronizing condescension.

There will be a smug voice at a cocktail party, snacking on some bits of refined flour, processed machine oil and sugar, parroting and peacocking, “Well the rice will save these poor unfortunate children… We’re trying to help, right?” Wrong. Listen to the streaming audio presentation by Dr. Vandana Shiva, “Vandana Shiva: Planting Seeds for Change,” here at kintespace.com. Test the wisdom of traditional, Indian women against the wisdom of patriarchal biotechnology companies and see who gets the B+—and more vitamin A.

The best part is that brown rice would also increase vitamin A as well as a host of other useful things that people need to stay alive. But no one profits off the sale of brown rice, and a new industry of exploitation wouldn't be legitimatized by it's promotion, so we don't hear anything about it.
