“The Constant Gardener (2005)” has splendid cinematic subtitle design
Who designed the subtitles for Fernando Meirelles, his very engaging The Constant Gardener (2005)? Is this subtitle design supported by streaming services like Amazon (known for its horribly misspelled subtitles, littered with false claims of “inaudible”) or Netflix? Surely whatever Web player The Criterion Collection is using supports this design, no? It would be disappointing to look at these different platforms only to find the subtitles burned into video track.
