Microsoft ILM and Microsoft CLM
Microsoft Identity Lifecycle Manager 2007 is not one application. According to Alex Tcherniakhovski, “This product will combine MIIS SP2 and Certificate Lifecycle Manager (CLM) functionality in a single offering… MIIS has been a part of Microsoft line of products for quite a few years, but CLM is likely to be new to a lot of us.”
MIIS stands for Microsoft Identity Integration Server. To me it has all the signs of a rising bun that is still needs a little more time in the oven. First of all, the installation procedure is actually a procedure. Coming from my cozy Visual Studio world, I haven’t seen this stuff for years! It took me a while to actually find the installation guide which is at the relative location, MIISinstall.htm.
