Open Source Digital Production Solutions
DistroWatch.com brings me news about a possible future filled with custom Linux-based operating systems designed for digital media production. In the digital audio department, 64 Studio and Ubuntu Studio jump out at me. It is useful to remind myself that proprietary Linux production systems certainly were built for the likes of George Lucas. It seems just possible that similar systems can be designed for the little guy.

The emergence of LINQ and Ruby on Rails compels me to research two topics: Lambda calculus and Closure. Respectively, these action items are coming from that Microsoft Singapore presentation on Channel9 and Venkat Subramaniam, his many appearances on dnrtv.com.
