Every Slave Hates a Loser
I was browsing through Dare Obasanjo’s Blog this morning, eating my fruitcake and playing my pretentious violin, when I came across “Office 12 will support PDF.” This post reminded me of the Brian Jones Blog, which presents “Converting WordprocessingML into HTML (for easy viewing).” I nervously wiped thick, brown crumbs from the keyboard, put down my bow and began to tap out this entry at my escritoire.
Were Bryan a single-project kind of guy, totally devoted to finishing the “Clean XHTML” project, he might have been able to respond to Brian Jones with a link to some running bits. But Bryan is still testing his “closed” source code and cannot win the day when opportunity meets preparation. He can only hope, like a captive, that another day will come. This hope and loss breed contempt—nay hatred—from my masses of slaves. Those onlookers—real and unreal—un-cheering me on through a life where a nation a millions hold me back. I’m supposed to be getting rich or dying trying—my “leisurely” pace is surely frowned upon by stressed-out competitors looking for company in victorious misery.
