Donate for the Katrina Effort in My ’Hood
KRST Unity and Oran Z’s Black Facts in Wax Museum are collection points for materials going to New Orleans, etc. Sister Kamau (Knowledge Broker editor) is working with KJLH, which if m/p understood correctly, is sponsoring direct transportation of goods to the survivors.
The goods needed at this time are: diapers n wipes, baby formula, feminine sanitary supplies, soap, and other general personal hygiene products.
Sorting and Sorting and bagging of donated items is done at Oran Z Black Fax in Wax. Help is needed with this. Call KRST Unity for addresses, etc.: 323 759-7567.
Thursday Sept 15th is the last day for donation drop off at KRST Unity or at Oran Z. Friday the 16th, trucks leave. Please spread the word to your personal networks.
