African-Americans Are Called “Refugees”

Wyclef Jean had it going on: his band was called The ’Fugees and it went to the top of the charts. Now, displaced Africans of the Americas are being called refugees—now it’s up to you (you habitual “guests” on corporate property) to do the work to define American citizens, who lost their homes because of a whole bunch of water, as refugees. The media seems to reserve the term “flood victims” for people who own large suburban homes.

I am not the son of a preacher, but the son of a deacon. I am here to tell you that this was no act of God but an act of gods—the lower case deities of the upper caste—the ones that worship virtual persons in the form of large corporations. This catastrophic event may just be the wake up call for all the egocentric African materialists out there to rend their togas, put down their logos and start building an infrastructure to protect family against this artificial environment. Let’s go to the root because Africans are primal—the root is this: New Orleans is a city that is several feet below sea level. This city was built by flesh men. And the root is this: there is a phenomenon called Global Warming—it is the supreme materialist power of flesh men. These are the gods making a tempest still jealous of The Honorable Ones across the stream of Oceanus.

On BlakeRadio.com I heard about this young man who “stole” a bus, got 80 people on it and drove it to Texas. On democracynow.org, I heard about a man who drove his own boat around rescuing people until it sunk, while being unable to locate his own family. When they make this into a “Made for Television” movie—and even when Spike Lee directs—are they going to replace these Black men with Oprah and some light-colored women—perhaps that guy from Six Feet Under?
