Server on the Table: CPU Power

Micro ATX CPU Power I have been accused of being one of “drama.” But I did not plan the suspenseful plot twist one night when I discovered that the new micro-ATX motherboard uses a new four-pin power cable shown at left. There was less than a half hour before Fry’s closed when I made my harrowing discovery. I shot right out of the house hoping that my haste would not cause a police chase ending with over 100 bullets sprayed in my direction.

I stormed into Fry’s with a beanie cap on and a big jacket looking for a stupid, tiny cable. I found it. It was the last one in the entire store—more drama not of my design. Anyway, these four-pin power cables show up in most modern system enclosures. My older Antec case required an adapter of the type that almost escaped my desperate glances of dramatic desperation—cut to William Shatner in Star Trek II - The Wrath of Khan yelling, “Khan!” with the echo effect.
