Recognizing the Microsoft.mshtml Namespace.
Martin Tracy of the Visual Studio team wrote “Walkthrough: Accessing the DHTML DOM from C#” back in 2002. This walkthrough predates those CodeProject.com articles I mentioned earlier, featuring the use of the IDocHostUIHandler
interface and Interop with the COM version of MSHTML.
Well Martin Tracy clearly shows me that there is a .NET MSHTML component, Microsoft.mshtml
, which, at first glance, eliminates the need for making IDL files and writing all those lines of interface support code.
